UW-Stevens Point Office of Sustainability presents Just Eat It

Wednesday, October 19, 6:30PM
Dreyfus University Center Theater, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Experience the short film "Unbroken Ground" which speaks to the food that we eat. Food should be a part of the solution to the environmental crisis, by being grown, harvested and produced in a way that restore instead of break down. Come learn the story of four groups that are doing just that through regenerative agriculture, regenerative grazing, diversified crop development and restorative fishing.

Also, walk alongside filmmakers and food-lovers Jen and Grant as they dive into the food system and look at why billions of dollars of food is thrown away every year. This films take a look at our systemic obsession with expiry dates, perfect produce and portion sizes, and reveals the core of this seemingly insignificant issue that is having devastating consequences around the globe. Just Eat It brings farmers, retailers, inspiring organizations, and consumers to the table in a cinematic story that is equal parts education and delicious entertainment.
